How do our termite barriers in Brisbane work?
Here at Blue Chip Termite & Pest Control, our preferred termite barrier treatments are done using the chemicals Termidor or Termidor HE. In fact, we use these products in 9 out of every 10 of our termite barrier jobs. We are also accredited with the company that makes these products, BASF, and you can find our business registration on their website.
The Termidor brand has been the number one go-to termiticide across Australia and the United States for over 15 years. Instead of repelling termites like other lower-cost products on the market, Termidor destroys existing termite colonies on the premises. The termites can’t detect the slow-acting chemical. And, if they pass through the treated zone, they will transport the termiticide back to their colony. Termites that come into contact with the chemical typically die within a few days.

For all of our termite pest control treatments, we comply with the relevant Australian Standards (AS 3660.3:2014 and AS 3660.2:2017). We also follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the product label. This ensures an accurate and thorough termite treatment and full protection of our customers’ homes.

TERMITE BAITING SYSTEMS
Baiting systems are an alternative to chemical barriers. We offer three different types of termite baiting systems – EXTERRA, Sentricon Always Active, and Trelona. These may be a more suitable option if your house is built into the side of a hill, if you have deep house footings, or an infill slab.
